I. 译为Fee 或 Charge

　         这是“费用”或“费” 的两个最常用的英文等值对应字 .

　         Fee 主要是指服务性的费用。 这种服务即能以体力的方式提供，又能以向他人提出具有专业性质的建议或忠告等形式提供（payment for service or professional advice）.如律师、医生、私人教师等所收之费用以及入场费、入会费、挂号费等等均译为fee. Charge 除了可以指服务性费用外，间或也指对货物或具体实物的收费 (for goods)。

II. Expenses (expenditure) 或 cost

　         Expenses 和cost作为“费用”的对应字使用时，多指为某一特定需求而付出的消费性支出“。expenses 和 cost为通用字，使用率极高，而 expenditure为书面语体字，较少使用。

III. Dues 或 Tax 

           Dues 作“费用” ，“费” 的对应字使用时，特指社会团体或组织的成员按本组织的有关规定定期缴纳的组织费用。在美国此种费又用tax表示。

             2.Party member dues党费
             3. Trade-union dues 工会会费

IV. Fare 和 Freight 

           这两个字作“费用”的对应字使用时，均用于特定的场合：Fare 指车（船）费； Freight 指运费。
